Nanny Crafts: Fall Time Kids Play-Dough
I absolutely LOVE making my own play-dough with my kids. It only takes a few minutes to make up in the kitchen and it just seems to work better in little hands than the bought play-dough. Well, I added cinnamon oil to our play-dough recipe and it smells like Fall-time! My kids love smelling the cinnamon while working with the play-dough.
Ingredients for Fall-Time Kids Play-Dough
- 2 Cups of flour
- 3 tbsp of cinnamon spice OR 3 tbsp of cinnamon oil (You can find Fall smelling oils at any craft store). I used cinnamon oil!
- 1/4 Cup of cream of tarter
- 1/2 cup of salt
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 cups of water
MIX: all of the dry ingredients (#1 – 4) together in a pot and then slowly add the wet ingredients and cook over medium heat for a couple of minutes. Do NOT let the children eat the play-dough!
TIP: I let my little ones stir in the dry ingredients with me and then I did everything else!
